The City of Sacramento is taking proactive steps to address the opioid crisis by inviting local hospitality and nighttime venue staff to participate in a crucial Naloxone training session. This free event, organized by the City’s Office of Nighttime Economy in collaboration with the Sacramento County Opioid Coalition, is designed to empower employees with life-saving skills.

Scheduled for October 9 from 3 to 4 p.m. at 300 Richards Blvd., room 221, this training session is an opportunity for hospitality workers to learn how to recognize and respond to opioid overdoses effectively. Participants will also be trained to administer Narcan (Naloxone), an opioid overdose reversal drug, which can be critical in saving lives during emergencies.
